How to use Adjectives- - 2

 How to use Adjectives? हिन्दी का एक विशेषण है 'पतला' । इसके अंग्रेजी अनुवादों को ध्यान से देखें- -

1. सीता की नींद पतली है -- Sita's sleep is light. 
2. राधा की आवाज पतली है- - Sita has a faint voice.
3. नीता की कमर पतली है- - Nita's waist is slender.
4. इस नदी की धारा पतली है- - The steam of this river is narrow 
5. रतन को पतला दस्त हो रहा है- - Ratan is having loose motion. 
6. यह कमीज पतला सूत से बना है- - This shirt is made of fine fabric. 
7. इन दिनों महेन्द्र की हालत पतली है -- These days Mahendra's condition is critical.
8. बबीता बहुत पतली है- - Babita is very slim.
9. मदन बहुत दुबला -पतला है- - Madan is very lean and thin.
10. वह रोटी का एक पतला टुकड़ा है- - That is a thin slice of bread.

उपरोक्त वाक्यों में 'पतला' शब्द का अंग्रेजी अनुवाद क्रमशः sleep, faint, slender, narrow, loose, fine ,critical, slim,lean and thin, और  thin हुआ है । अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद करते समय इसे ध्यान में रखना चाहिए । अब हिन्दी का शब्द 'ऊँचा ' के अंग्रेजी अनुवादों पर गौर करें -- 

1. राम उच्च शिक्षा प्राप्त कर चुका है- - Ram has received higher education.
2. वह ऊँची जगह था - - That was a raised platform. 
3. आप ऊँचे पद पर थे- - You held a high post .
4. वह ऊँचा पहाड़ है- - That is a high mountain. 
5. मिथिलेश के पास एक ऊँची दूकान है- - Mithilesh has a big shop.
6. राधा के मकान की छत ऊँची है- - Radha's house has a high ceiling. 

उपरोक्त वाक्यों में 'ऊँचा ' शब्द के लिए अंग्रेजी में क्रमशः higher ,raised, high, big शब्द का प्रयोग किया गया है।
