How to use Idioms

जब हम लोग हिन्दी से अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद बनाते हैं, तो हमें हिन्दी मुहावरों का ध्यान रखना चाहिए । यदि हम हुबहु शब्दों का अर्थ लिख देते हैं, तो अर्थ का अनर्थ हो जायेगा । एक उदाहरण से इसे समझते हैं- - आजकल राम बिलकुल प्रतिकूल परिस्थिति में है- - Todays Ram is like a fish out of water.  इसलिए हमें यह जानना जरुरी है कि " How to use Hindi Idioms into English?" हिन्दी मुहावरों का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद कैसे करें? 

तो आईये कुछ हिन्दी के मुहावरों का अंग्रेजी में अनुवाद देखते हैं-- 

1. आप अपने काम में निपुण हैं- - You are a capital hand at your work.
2. राम और श्याम के बीच गहरी शत्रुता है- - There is a daggers drawn between Ram and Shyam .
3. शीतल बिलकुल उदासीन और उत्साहहीन है- - Shital is in the doldrums.
4. आप नेताओं की अगली पंक्ति में हैं- - You are in the van of leaders.
5. उन लोगों की शक्ति धीरे- धीरे घट रही थी- - Their power was on the wane.
6. हमारा यश धीरे- धीरे बढ़ रहा है- - Our reputation is on the wax.
7. जब सारे लोग चुप थे तब महेश ने चुप्पी तोड़ी- - When all were silent, Mahesh broke the ice.
8.  नेता जी का विरोध निरर्थक था -- Leader's opposition is neither here nor there.
9. आपने मेरे भाई के सफलता का समाचार कहा- - You broke the news of my brother's success. 
10. सीता बिलकुल स्पष्ट बोलती है -- Sita calls a spade a spade .
11. हमें अपने परोसी से पुराना शत्रुता अब खत्म करना चाहिए- - We should bury the hatchet with our neighbour now. 
12. आप अपने व्यवहार से सबका दिल जीत लेते हैं -- You steal everybody's heart with your behaviour.
13.  राम अंतिम क्षण तक डटा रहा- - Ram stood to his gun at the last moment. 
14. कायरता दिखाने के लिए रतन को दण्ड दिया गया -- Ratan was punished for showing the white feathers. 
15. आप हमेशा हमारे काम में बाधा डालते हैं -- You always put a spoke in my wheel.
16. गीता को अपना काम खुद करना चाहिए- -   Geeta should put her shoulder to the wheel.
17. कभी उल्टा काम मत करो -- Never put the cart before the horse. 
18. मुझे बिलकुल अकेला काम करना पड़ता है -- I have to plough a lonely furrow. 
19. तुम्हें अपने  पिता तुल्य आदमी पर कलंक नहीं लगाना चाहिए- - You should not cast a slur on your father like person. 
20. बुरी चीज से भी लाभ उठाने की आदत अच्छी होती है-  - Habit to make the best of a bad bargain is good.
21. बुद्धिमान आदमी अवसर से लाभ उठाता है- - A wise man makes a hay while the sun shines. 
22. हमारी जोश को ठंडा मत करो- - Don't pour cold water on our enthusiasm. 
23. चमन का भाषण ने क्रोध तथा अशांति को शांत कर दिया- - The speech of Chaman poured oil on the troubled water.
24. राजीव दवाइयाँ के बारे में कुछ भी नहीं जानता है -- Rajiv doesn't know even ABC of medicines. 
25. जीतेन्द्र अनुचित रुप से उन्नति करता रहा- - Jitendra kept on progressing through- back stair influence. 
26. अफगानिस्तान की सेना अंत में कायरता पूर्वक भाग गई- - The Army of Afghanistan turned tail at last.
27. पूर्व के कानूनों को अमान्य घोषित कर देना चाहिए- - Previous laws should be declared null and void. 
28. हमारा देश दिन दोगुनी रात चौगुनी के रफ्तार से उन्नति कर रहा है -- Our country is progressing by leaps and bounds. 
29. कोरोना के कारण स्कूलों को अनिश्चित काल तक के लिए बंद कर दिया गया था- -  The schools were closed sine die due to Corona.
30.  आप को  बिना सोचे-समझे खतरनाक काम नहीं करना चाहिए -- You should not take a leap in the dark.
31. राम पहले काम करके लाभ उठाता है- -Ram steals a march on his opponent. 
32. आपने हिम्मत के साथ सामना किया -- You took the bull by the horns.
